HWA Board - Mr David Swan

Mr David Swan is the Chief Executive of SA Health, with extensive experience in the health industry including four years as the Executive Director, Operations, SA Health. He has more than 25 years experience as a Chief Executive in the public and private health care system in Australia, including two years as Chief Executive of the Southern Adelaide Health Service and four years as Chief Executive of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide. Mr Swan is currently on the Board of the National E-Health Transition Authority. He has completed a Graduate Diploma in Management and holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree. He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Executive. Mr Swan was appointed as South Australia’s nominee to the HWA Board in February 2011.
