Information, Analysis, and Planning

The Information, Analysis and Planning Group is responsible for national health workforce planning including analysis of supply and demand trends and the provision of advice to governments and other stakeholders to inform decision making of a range of workforce policy and program matters.

Health workforce research will be commissioned and co-ordinated to ensure that health ministers and the health and education sectors have access to comprehensive national, sectoral and jurisdictional workforce planning analysis and information to guide policy and investment decisions.

A National Health Workforce Statistical tool will be developed, and the strategic knowledge and information management (excluding IT) requirements of HWA will be managed in this group.
