Tender name	Request for Proposals: Capital and Recurrent Funding of Educational, Private and Non Government Providers under the Simulated Learning Environments Project

Information	HWA invited suitably qualified providers to submit a proposal for capital, establishment and recurrent funding to provide clinical training through the use of simulated learning modalities, in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. The Simulated Learning Environments (SLE) Program seeks to train healthcare professionals more efficiently and effectively through the adoption of simulation techniques. This work is being implemented under the National Partnership Agreement on Hospital and Health Workforce Reform (NPA), which includes a specific measure to expand the use of SLEs to contribute to increased clinical training capacity.

Information	Health Workforce Australia (HWA) called for Requests for Tender to develop a National Clinical Supervision Competency Framework. The project is positioned within the Clinical Supervision Support Program (CSSP) which is designed to progress work on implementing reforms to expand clinical supervision capacity and competence as outlined in the 2008 National Partnership Agreement (NPA) on Hospital and Health Workforce Reform.

Information	Health Workforce Australia (HWA) invited suitably qualified consultants/contractors to submit a tender to undertake a case study on the delivery of the HWA Workforce Innovation and Reform: Caring for Older People (CfOP) program, as an example of the delivery of a national change program in workforce reform.

Information	As announced by Health Ministers on 22 April 2010, a significant expansion of clinical training capacity for health and medical professionals is underway as part of the $1.6 billion Hospital and Health Workforce Reform National Partnership Agreement announced by COAG in November 2008. Heath Workforce Australia (HWA) called for proposals from government agencies, universities and non government health and aged care providers to support the increase in clinical training for professional entry health disciplines from the 2011 academic year.
Tender name	Request For Tenders: Mapping Clinical Placements: Organisation and Capacity Building
Closing date	28th June 2010
Information	Health Workforce Australia (HWA) sought tenders from suitably qualified organisations to undertake an extensive and detailed Australia-wide consultation and information gathering process across the health and education sectors. This project will establish an evidence base to inform decisions necessary for the implementation of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) reform measures to increase the capacity of clinical training in Australia. A key measure of the reform package is the funding of clinical placements for professional entry health courses, which will act as a lever to create greater capacity in the system. This will be supported by the establishment of Integrated Regional Training Networks that will have a pivotal role in facilitating, identifying and aligning new placements across the higher education and clinical training sectors.
