Clinical Training Funding Initiative

Description

Health Workforce Australia is seeking joint proposals from government agencies, universities and non government health and aged care providers for funding to support the increase in clinical training for professional entry health disciplines from the 2011 academic year. Recurrent funding will be available to support growth in clinical training and in addition there will be one-off incentive funding to support establishment and start-up costs associated with new professional entry clinical training activity. Priority will be given to develop capacity in under-serviced areas and new settings.

Eligible Disciplines

Health Ministers have agreed that 24 disciplines will be eligible for funding support. It is important to note that this does not mean that all these disciplines will receive clinical training funding from HWA, as priorities will be determined for this funding round as part of the request for proposal process.

How to submit a proposal

Parties interested in submitting a proposal must address the requirements of the Request for Proposal document which is available for downloading by registering on this page from Saturday 15th May at 9:00am. Proposals should be submitted via email to clinicaltrainingfunding@hwa.gov.au by the closing time and date above.

How to download the Request for Proposal document

Interested parties are asked to provide the information requested in the Registration Form below in order to download the documentation. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide accurate and sufficient details to ensure they can be contacted where required.
