Request for Proposals: SLE Project

HWA invites suitably qualified providers to submit a proposal for capital, establishment and recurrent funding to provide clinical training through the use of simulated learning modalities, in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

The Simulated Learning Environments (SLE) Program seeks to train healthcare professionals more efficiently and effectively through the adoption of simulation techniques. This work is being implemented under the National Partnership Agreement on Hospital and Health Workforce Reform (NPA), which includes a specific measure to expand the use of SLEs to contribute to increased clinical training capacity.

The main objectives of the SLE Project are to:

  • Increase the use of simulated learning modalities in clinical training for entry level health professionals, postgraduates, VET sector and ongoing skills development training;
  • Optimise clinical training experiences through the use of simulation techniques to develop clinical skills and competencies required by health professionals; and
  • Increase access to simulated learning techniques for students in regional, rural and remote settings.

Full details of the Request for Proposals, including timeframe, documentation and method for registration of interest, were to be found on the Simulated Learning Environments RFP pages.  As this RFP process has now closed, details may be found via the Grants, Tenders & Contracts section of the HWA website.
